Flex LessonsĀ
The CTE Flex Mini Lessons Series is a collection of six engaging, classroom-ready lessons designed for shortened instructional days, including half days, delayed openings, testing schedules, assemblies, field trips, substitute days, and other schedule changes. Each lesson is broad enough to reinforce essential Career and Technical Education (CTE) concepts across Fashion Design, Biotechnology, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Barbering, Digital Media & Graphic Design, and Workplace Readiness while requiring minimal preparation and maintaining meaningful student engagement.
Throughout the series, students explore career pathways, workplace safety, professionalism, employability skills, customer service, creative problem-solving, and career readiness through interactive activities, collaborative discussions, role-playing, design challenges, and hands-on learning experiences. Each lesson emphasizes the transferable skills that are valuable in every workplace, including communication, teamwork, responsibility, critical thinking, adaptability, and professionalism.
Designed specifically for high school students in Career and Technical Education and Autism Support classrooms, these flexible lessons provide structured, engaging instruction that reinforces career awareness and workplace readiness while fitting seamlessly into abbreviated school schedules. The lessons can be used independently at any point during the school year, making them a valuable resource for maintaining high-quality instruction when regular schedules are interrupted.
